FRISCO, Texas - As we gear up for the holidays and embark on a new year, it’s a good time to look back and reflect on 2022. It was an eventful year for FC Dallas on and off the pitch, but nothing will warm your heart more than what FC Dallas and the FC Dallas Foundation was able to accomplish in the community. Here’s a look back at some of our favorites.
My Possibilities Field - June 28, 2022
Along with CoServ, Gallagher and UMB Bank, the FC Dallas Foundation dedicated its 10th field through the Field Development Program in 2022 at My Possibilities. My Possibilities is a North Texas organization that serves as a pioneering leader in vocational education for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities throughout North Texas. This professional-grade, full-size grass pitch provides the My Possibilities HIPsters (hugely important people) and other individuals from this population a safe and inclusive space of their own to play and enjoy the sport of soccer!
Remembering Brynn Moore - September 3, 2022
One of the most special members of the FC Dallas family, 13-year-old Roanoke native Brynn Moore, passed away after a three-year battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma on July 1, 2022. To honor Brynn’s memory and highlight Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, FC Dallas captains wore armbands inspired by her artwork throughout the month of September. FC Dallas capitan Jesús Ferreira debuted the armband on September 3 against Minnesota United and scored in the 58th minute before dedicating the goal to Brynn.
BGCCC eSports Lab - November 17, 2022
The FC Dallas Foundation unveiled a state-of-the-art eSports Lab at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County’s Frisco Club this fall with CoServ, Gallagher and UMB Bank. This space provides students the opportunity to explore areas of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) by learning to code and configure gaming components and interfaces while building a sense of community and friendships within the eSports space locally and nationally.
FC Dallas Unified Team v. Austin FC Unified Team - June 25, 2022
The FC Dallas Unified Team supported by Globe Life, Gallagher and Toyota opened their 2022 season against the Austin FC Unified Team in their inaugural match at Q2 Stadium. Captained by Chase Wood and Anissa Almaraz, FC Dallas took down Austin FC with a 4-2 win and the best Unified Team Supporters Section in the league: the FC Dallas First Team!
Nonprofit Night - August 27, 2022
FC Dallas and the FC Dallas Foundation hosted their inaugural Nonprofit Night presented by H-E-B on August 27, 2022 against Real Salt Lake. The evening provided an opportunity for local nonprofit organizations to raise money, raise awareness and share ways that our fans can get involved in our local community.
