Michael Barrios had an incredible night on Saturday thanks in large part to the return of Mauro Diaz. The Magician’s skillful distribution set up Barrios on a number of occasions, but you could also see winger was leaving it all on the field with his work ethic, pressuring Sal Zizzo and creating something out of seemingly nothing time and time again.

Absolutely we did. From the very first minute, something was obviously different about this Mauro Diaz than the one we’ve seen at times this season. The confidence he played with in making the usual dazzling touches we love to see and threading the needle with his passing took his game to another level. I think there’s still a little room to improve for Mauro before he’s truly the mastermind we’ve seen over the last few years, but Saturday was the biggest step we’ve seen in 2017.
