FRISCO — After scoring a penalty kick in FC Dallas’ 2-0 win over the Montreal Impact on Saturday, Mauro Diaz has been named on the bench of this week’s MLS Team of the Week.
Diaz played all 90 minutes of Saturday’s match against the Impact and was a vital part of FCD’s victory, which lifted the team to a tie for first place with Sporting Kansas City in the Western Conference. Diaz’s goal makes him tied for third in goals scored on the team this season with 2. He also has a team-high eight assists in 2018.
