It’s been an offseason of change and roster turnover at FC Dallas. In addition to the club welcoming Eric Quill as the new Head Coach, the club has added 17 new players, drafted three players in the MLS SuperDraft and said goodbye to 15 more players from last year’s squad.
To keep track of it all, here’s a recap of all the player movement we’ve had so far.
Incoming Players
Pedrinho: An attacking midfielder signed from North Texas SC for the 2025 season with club options for ’26 and ’27. He helped North Texas SC win the MLS NEXT Pro title with 13 goals and 13 assists. He was originally signed from Brazilian club Flamengo.
Ramiro: A versatile midfielder signed as a free agent to a two-year contract with an option for ’27 and will require an international roster spot. Ramiro played in Brazil’s top division for most of his career (250+ games) and won Copa Libertadores with Grêmio.
Lalas Abubakar: An MLS veteran center back who spent six seasons with the Colorado Rapids and two with the Columbus Crew. Signed with Dallas from free agency on a two-year contract with an option for ’27.
Shaq Moore: Dallas traded up to 150k GAM to Nashville SC to acquire Shaq Moore, a right back with 19 USMNT caps. He spent time in the FC Dallas Academy during his youth before becoming a pro in Europe.
Anderson Julio: Ecuadorian international winger/forward that Dallas acquired from Real Salt Lake with defender Sam Junqua and up to 500K GAM going the other way. Julio had 25 goals and five assists in 111 games (only 38 starts) for RSL. He’ll occupy an international roster spot.
Léo Chú: Brazilian winger acquired from Seattle (along with up to 2.3 million GAM) for Jesús Ferreira. Chu had 14 goals in 79 games (46) starts for the Sounders after joining from Grêmio. He’ll occupy an international spot and a U22 spot.
Patrickson Delgado: Ecuadorian midfielder signed to a three-year contract (with an option for ’28) after spending the 2024 season on loan with Dallas where he scored 4 goals and added 3 assists. Still just 21, he’ll occupy an international spot.
Diego Garcia: An 18-year-old central midfielder signed from North Texas SC as a Homegrown player. Garcia had 8 goals and 7 assists during NTSC’s title-winning season and set a club record as the youngest player to reach 50 appearances (18 years, 4 days).
Anthony Ramirez: A 19-year-old attacking mid/winger signed from North Texas SC as a Homegrown player. Joined the FCD Academy as a 12-year-old and had 4 goals and 3 assists for NTSC in 2024 and has represented Mexico at various youth levels.
Michael Collodi: A 23-year-old goalkeeper signed from North Texas SC as a Homegrown player. He played 28 games and won MLS NEXT Pro’s Goalkeeper of the Year last season after his four-year collegiate career at Columbia.
Malachi Molina: An 18-year-old right back signed from North Texas SC as a Homegrown player. He played 12 games for North Texas last year after joining the FCD Academy in 2017. A Jamaican youth international, Molina also played in the 2022 MLS NEXT All-Star game.
Diego Pepi: A 20-year-old forward signed from North Texas SC as a Homegrown player. Scored 2 goals in 22 total appearances for NTSC. Diego is the younger brother of former FCD Homegrown Ricardo Pepi.
Daniel Baran: An 18-year-old winger signed from North Texas SC as a Homegrown player. Joined the FCD Academy in 2023 and represents Poland at the youth level.
Enzo Newman: A 19-year-old right back selected 11th overall from Oregon State University, contributed six assists in 21 starts over two seasons. He was named an Academic All-American and included in the All-WCC Second Team and signed with FC Dallas on Jan. 25.
Osaze Urhoghide: A 24-year-old center back signed from French side Amiens using a club-record fee for a defender. He previously played for Sheffield Wednesday, Celtic and KV Oostende. His contract runs through 2028 with an option for 2029 and he'll occupy an international spot.
Lucho Acosta: The 2023 MLS MVP signed from FC Cincinnati as part of a $6 million cash-for-player trade. The attacking midfielder joins as the club's second Designated Player (the other being Petar Musa) and will likely be the centerpiece of Eric Quill's front four.
Álvaro Augusto: A 19-year-old center back signed from Portuguese side Portimonense S.C. He joins on a three-year contract through 2027 with club options for 2028 and 2029 and will occupy an international roster slot. The Portuguese-Brazilian defender trialed with the club during its preseason camp in Algarve, Portugal.
Draft Pick (currently unsigned)
Mohamed Cisset: A 20-year-old center back selected in the third round out of Penn State. He also competed in the 2024 Olympics with Mali in between his two collegiate seasons.
Loan Out
Carl Sainte: Loaned out to USL Championship side Phoenix Rising FC for 2025.
Tomas Pondeca: Loaned out to USL Championship side new Mexico United for 2025.
Enes Sali: Loaned out to Saudi Pro League side Al-Riyadh SC through July 2025.
Outgoing Players
Jesús Ferreira: Traded to Seattle Sounders for Léo Chú, up to $2.3 million GAM and an international roster spot.
Paul Arriola: Traded to Seattle Sounders for up to $300k GAM and the Sounders’ 2026 first round MLS SuperDraft pick.
Sam Junqua: Traded to Real Salt Lake along with up to 500K GAM for Anderson Julio.
Nkosi Tafari: Traded to LAFC for $300k in 2026 GAM and a 2026 International Roster Slot.
Alan Velasco: Transferred to Boca Juniors in the second-largest outgoing transfer in club history.
Jimmy Maurer: Contract expired, has subsequently signed with Houston Dynamo
