FRISCO, Texas - We're reviewing some of FC Dallas' best goals, saves, celebrations and game day fits from the 2023 season and putting them up to a vote to decide the best of the best. You can vote on all of them HERE.
Now, we'll be reviewing eight of the best fits from this year.
Jesús Ferreira’s Louis Vuitton Bandana Fit
What if a bandana could be more than just a thin cloth donned upon your head? This fit allows you to dream. Jesús has always been a big fan of a matching set, and this might be the best-of collection. The fit screams fun, innovative, and unifying. Also, major props for matching the bag with the fit. Jesús is showing his brand loyalty, just as he has shown his club loyalty to FC Dallas since his Academy days.
Nkosi Tafari’s Tartan Cardigan Fit
It’s giving elite Scottish athlete vibes. You had to know Nkosi would make this list at least once, as every year his fits don’t disappoint. He treats his fits like his play. A calculated risk taker that uses his best features to his advantage. Here we see him taking the risk of going without an undershirt, and it works. If you got it, flaunt it.
Paul Arriola’s Frozone Fit
HONEY!!! WHERE’S MY SUPERSUIT!?!?
Wearing a suit to a soccer match is a confident power move. Rocking an all-aqua suit? That’s a next level of confidence. That’s our captain.
Sebastien Ibeagha’s Minty Fit
The matching mint beanie and top. The intricate design of his ‘40s dinner waiter style button down. The cream-colored sunglasses to match the secondary portions of the shirt. The minor design elements of the jeans. Simple yet extraordinary. All of it. A calculated masterclass.
Nkosi Tafari’s Cheetah Fit
There is so much going on here, but every element works perfectly. It’s the fit of a man that’s about to play the most mischievous villain in a Pink Panther reboot movie. The cheetah coat as an homage to his teammate Jesús Ferreira. The French beret to match the pants. The Cowardly Dog bag. It all just works.
Sebastien Ibeagha’s Austin Powers Fit
It’s the colorway for me. It’s a mix of blue and light purple that inspires thoughts of the Swinging Sixties. The complexity of the artistic direction of the pants. It’s the Jean-Michel Basquiat t-shirt. Even the often forgotten and underappreciated chain wallet. This…this is art.
Paul Arriola’s Subtle Fit
This is what I call an aspirational fit. Many of these fits are out of the realm of possibilities for an average individual. But this, this is a fit you think you could pull off, but I’m sorry, you can’t. You’re not as cool as Paul Arriola. You might think you can, but stop yourself before you try, because you can’t.
Maarten Paes’ Pander Fit
The pandering from Maarten here is next level. Nobody is more Dallas than Maarten Paes, and that is a statement that I could have never anticipated when he signed just two years ago. Generational pandering.
