STORY LINES
Road Warriors
After playing the past two matches at home, North Texas SC heads on the road to visit Colorado Rapids 2. Having lost one of the past two home matches, the club looks forward to getting back on the road where they have a 2-1-0 record including two shutouts in 2023. Going back to last season the club won two out of three games against Rapids 2, including winning the extra point shootout in the last visit to the Rocky Mountains. North Texas SC looks to bounce back from its defeat to Real Monarchs and get a positive result away from home.
Player to Watch
Last match marked the first professional start for 16-year-old Malachi Molina. Slotting in at right back, Molina played 85 minutes while completing 88% of his passes. The young defender also put in an impressive defensive performance, registering three successful tackles and winning seven out of eight duels. After coming on as an impact substitute against MNUFC2, Molina took advantage of his opportunity and earned the start against Real Monarchs. Molina hopes to continue his fine form and serve as an impact player this week on the road at Colorado.
