Denver, Colorado (July 14, 2024) – North Texas SC (9-2-5, 36 points) suffered a 2-0 defeat to Colorado Rapids 2 (4-10-3, 16 points) at Denver University Soccer Stadium on Sunday night.
A HISTORIC RUN
North Texas SC’s unbeaten run comes to an end following seven unbeaten games from May 18 to July 14, 2024. The club also went on a seven-game unbeaten streak to start the 2024 season from March 15 to May 5.
COLLODI CONTINUES TO SHINE
Despite defeat, Michael Collodi added four saves to his 2024 campaign. Collodi is two saves away from becoming fourth all-time in North Texas SC history, an accolade currently held by Richard Sanchez. Collodi holds a 8-2-5 record in his first season with NTSC and sits third in games won.
BLOSSOMING HIS PETALS
Defender Tyshawn Rose made his first start of the season tonight logging 62 minutes and one shot. Rose made his season debut on July 3 against MNUFC2, registering 59 minutes played and a 100% passing rate. Rose now has 20 starts in his MLS NEXT Pro career.
ACADEMY MINUTES
FC Dallas Academy product Daniel Baran entered the match in the 70th minute of the match to log his fifth appearance of the season. Academy players have registered 238 minutes played this season and seven appearances combined.
LAUTARO RETURNS
Forward Lautaro Taboada entered the match in the 79th minute. Taboada last appeared against The Town FC on April 6th, 2024, where he registered three minutes as a sub. Last year, Taboada had six appearances with 182 minutes played.
