AUSTIN, Texas (April 11, 2025) – North Texas SC (2-2-2, 9 points) won the extra penalty shootout 4-2 after a 1-1 draw in regulation against Austin FC II (1-1-2, 5 points) on Friday night at Parmer Field.

EL SAZÓN BORICUA
FC Dallas Academy defender Ian Charles scored his first professional goal in the 80th minute. Charles has appeared in six matches and is the only Academy player to score for North Texas SC this season.

ACADEMY LINK-UP
Former FC Dallas Academy defender Josh Torquato set up Charles for the equalizing goal in the 80th minute. Jaidyn Contreras, who signed with North Texas SC from the FC Dallas Academy, was involved in the goal sequence and earned the second assist.

LA MURALLA STRIKES BACK
Goalkeeper Antonio Carrera made two saves in regulation and added two more in the shootout to help propel a North Texas comeback win. Carrera has surpassed 150 saves and is the only goalkeeper in club history to reach that mark.
