PORTLAND, Oregon (April 5, 2025) – North Texas SC (2-2-1, 7 points) defeat Timbers2 (0-3-3, 3 points) 2-1 with a late goal in added time from Malachi Molina at Providence Park on Saturday afternoon.

BRINGING THE SCORING BOOM TO PORTLAND

Forward Daniel Baran scored his first professional goal in the 14th minute. The FC Dallas Homegrown made 14 appearances and had one goal contribution with the 2024 North Texas SC championship team.

MALACHI SCORES THE WINNER

Defender Malachi Molina scored the game-winning goal from a long ball from Antonio Carrera in added time to seal the win for North Texas. Molina has scored in back-to-back matches and now leads North Texas in goals scored alongside Tarik Scott and Sam Sarver with two.

START NUMBER ONE FOR GALL AND HICKAM

FC Dallas Academy alum Gavin Gall and current Academy player Landon Hickam made their first career starts today in Portland. Gall, who signed with North Texas in 2025, has appeared in every match this season. Hickam made his season debut in the last match against SKC II on March 28.

EL REGRESO DE LA MURALLA

Goalkeeper Antonio Carrera made nine saves tying his career-high in saves in a single game, in his first start with the club since Sept. 2024. Carrera currently holds the club record for most games played (40) and most wins (20) for a goalkeeper and was a member of the 2024 North Texas SC championship team.
