ARLINGTON, Texas (March 28, 2025) – North Texas SC (1-2-1, 4 points) earned a point tonight following a 5-4 extra point shootout to Sporting Kansas City II (0-3-1, 2 points). The match finished 3-3 in regulation time.

ANOTHER SEASON, ANOTHER GOAL FOR TARIK

Forward Tarik Scott scored a brace tonight with goals in the 36th and 49th minutes, respectively. The brace marked the third of his professional career. Scott tallied 10 goals and three assists in 24 matches last season and currently ranks fourth all time in goals in club history.

MOLINA STEPS UP TO THE PENALTY MARK

Defender Malachi Molina scored his first goal of the 2025 season. Molina has scored three-career goals, all of them have come against Sporting Kansas City II.

START NUMBER ONE FOR KAAKOUSH

Tonight, defender Isaiah Kaakoush made his first professional start. He made his professional debut on Sept. 29, 2024, against Sporting Kansas City II, where he scored his first career goal. Kaakoush recently returned from international duty with the U.S. U17 Youth National Team. He started in a 4-2 win against Costa Rica on March 24.

WELCOME BACK URZUA AND HICKAM

Midfielders Alejandro Urzua and Landon Hickam made their season debut after entering in the final minutes of the second half. An FC Dallas Homegrown, Urzua was a member of the championship winning North Texas SC, and made eight appearances and scored one goal in 2024. Hickam made his professional debut against St Louis CITY2 on July 27, 2024.
