Burnaby, British Columbia (September 8, 2024) – North Texas SC (13-4-7, 51 points) defeats Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (9-9-6, 36 points) 1-0 thanks to a Tarik Scott goal in the first half on Sunday night from Swangard Stadium.

Forward Tarik Scott scored his ninth goal of the season from an Enes Sali assist in the 11th minute. Scott ranks first in goals scored for North Texas this season and moves into fourth all-time in club history (11).

CAPTAIN COLLODI
Goalkeeper Michael Collodi sported the captain armband in tonight’s matchup. Collodi registered eight saves, setting a new career high and a clean sheet. Collodi continues his historic rookie season, being one of three goalkeepers to have 10+ wins all-time in club history.

A HISTORIC 2024 SEASON
North Texas SC improves their record to 13-4-7 and remain the number one team in all of MLS NEXT Pro and is the first team to obtain 51 points in the standings this season. North Texas now ties its franchise best in wins (13 in 2022) in a single-season in MLS NEXT Pro.
