Arlington, Texas (August 17, 2024) – North Texas SC (12-3-6, 46 points) defeats Houston Dynamo 2 (6-9-6, 24 points) 4-1 to obtain their first Texas Derby win at home. North Texas remains undefeated at home with tonight’s win.
TARIK STRIKES FIRST
Forward Tarik Scott scored his eighth goal of the season in the ninth minute. Scott is tied-eighth in goals in MLS NEXT Pro. Scott’s goal was also NTSC’s fourth-fastest goal scored this season.
CAPTAIN COLLODI
For the third time this season, goalkeeper Michael Collodi donned the captains armband in tonight’s matchup. Collodi collected his ninth win and assisted Scott’s goal for his second assist of the year.
O PODER DO PEDRINHO
Midfielder Pedrinho netted his seventh and eighth goal of the season for his first professional brace. Pedrinho is tied with teammate Tarik Scott for most goals scored for North Texas. Pedrinho has scored in back-to-back games.
