FRISCO, Texas (October 12, 2023) – North Texas SC has signed goalkeeper Victor Darub to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract through the 2025 season with an option for the 2026 season. Per team policy, additional contract details will not be disclosed.
Darub, 17, joined the Flamengo Academy as a 10-year-old and played for the club from 2015-21 season. The Lincoln, Nebraska native joined SAG Botafogo FR’s Academy for the 2021 season. Darub registered 15 appearances for the Estrela Solitária during the 2023 CBF Brasileiro U20 season.
Darub also participated in the 2023 Dallas Cup with SAF Botafogo FR in the U-19 Super Group. He appeared in two group stage matches against the FC Dallas U-19 Academy and Real Madrid’s Academy.
