FRISCO, Texas (March 13, 2025) – North Texas SC announced today that it has signed FC Dallas Academy defender Joshua Torquato to a one-year MLS NEXT Pro contract.
Torquato debuted for NTSC on March 9 against St. Louis. He played 88 minutes, completed 25 passes, and recorded a 78% passing accuracy in the season opener.

“I’ve enjoyed working with Joshua for many years. He’s a talented young player with a lot of potential,” North Texas SC head coach John Gall said. “He’s energetic and feisty and has a desire to be successful. The Kona, Hawaii, native joined the FC Dallas Academy at the U12 level in 2019. He has competed in the GA Cup (2022–24), Dallas Cup (2023), and Liga MX International tournaments (2023, 2024) for the academy. Torquato attended FC Dallas’ 2025 preseason training camp in Algarve, Portugal, and appeared in all of the club’s preseason matches.
