FRISCO, Texas (February 3, 2023) – North Texas SC has signed defender Tyshawn Rose to a MLS NEXT Pro professional contract, pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation approval. Per team policy, additional terms of the deal will not be disclosed.
Rose, 22, joins North Texas SC on a one-year contract with a club option for the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season.
“Tyshawn is a really exciting player that is going to come in and make an impact,” said North Texas SC General Manager Matt Denny. “As a defender that loves to get forward, he is going to be a great fit for our team and style of play.”
The native of East Hartford, Connecticut, joins North Texas after five years playing for Boston College from 2018-22. Rose made 70 appearances, played 5,640 minutes and contributed four assists during his Eagles career. The right back led the team in minutes with 1,381 and appeared in every game during the 2021 season.
