Arlington, Texas (July 27, 2024) – North Texas SC (10-3-5, 39 points) defeated St Louis CITY2 (11-5-2, 36 points) 2-1 to reclaim the number one spot in the Western Conference standings on Saturday night at Choctaw Stadium. Enes Sali’s game-winning goal secured the three points.

TOP OF THE WESTERN CONFERENCE

With tonight's 2-1 win, North Texas SC reclaims the top of the Western Conference table. North Texas recorded its tenth win of the season for the first time since 2022.

HENRY-SCOTT SCORES AT HOME AGAIN

FC Dallas Homegrown Malik Henry-Scott netted his second professional goal from a Daniel Baran assist in the 16th minute to end a 193 minute goal drought. Henry-Scott made his MLS NEXT Pro debut against Whitecaps FC2 and scored his first professional goal against MNUFC2 on July 3.

SALI FOR THE WIN

Enes Sali scored the game-winning-goal in the 53rd minute to regain the lead for North Texas. Sali’s goal now ties Tarik Scott for most goals scored on North Texas SC’s roster with seven. He is now tied fifth in goals in all of MLS NEXT Pro.

LEADING THE PACK

Midfielder Diego García assisted Enes Sali’s goal in the 53rd minute. García now has five assists on the year, tying Pedrinho for first on the team. García also made NTSC history, tying tenth place all-time in games played.

ACADEMY MINUTES

FC Dallas Academy products Jaidyn Contreras and Landon Hickam made their professional career debuts in the 80th minute of the match. Academy players have logged 13 appearances and 373 minutes played in 2024. They became the 23rd and 24th players to debut in MLS NEXT Pro from the FC Dallas Academy.
