Post Game Quotes
Interim Head Coach John Gall
On tonight’s result…
“Tonight I saw a much hungrier team. Last week we played really well but didn’t quite get the result we wanted. This week the proof was in the pudding, a lot of the things we did in training came to fruition. A lot of credit goes to the boys, they’ve sacrificed and put themselves in great situations physically, so all credit goes to them tonight.”
On the style of play…
“The mantra and DNA of FC Dallas and North Texas is to be aggressive with and without the ball. We want to possess the ball as much as we can and recover the ball quickly to make things difficult for the opponent. Tonight we made it really difficult for the opponents, and we were able to get the goals. I’m really proud of the boys for doing the things we’re asking them to do. It’s not easy playing in 105-degree heat and making all those runs giving maximum effort. At the end of the day these are the principles we're all about at this club and we’ll continue to push forward toward the playoffs.”
On the new fans from El Classico…
“We appreciate all the fans that came out today, it worked out tremendously for us with the big game across the street. That game had a lot of stars and you’re also seeing a lot of future stars here as well at North Texas. The public should keep coming out and watching what we’re doing because we’re putting out a really exciting product. We want to do this for the community because this is a community club, and we want to make the fans happy. Hopefully the fans were happy with tonight’s result, and we really appreciate everyone that came out to support.”
