The FC Dallas Player Development system continues to provide college programs around the country with players that have refined their skills through the FC Dallas Youth program. The FCD College Round-up is our bi-weekly series that will keep track of a select number of former FCDY players and monitor their progress through the college soccer ranks.
Baylor University (6-1-1) – Natalie Huggins (Sophomore Forward)
Baylor has shut out its last four opponents; defeating Nebraska 3-0, McNeese State 5-0, UTSA 4-0 and drawing UNT 0-0. Huggins scored her first goal of the season in the win over McNeese State and tallied another in the win over UTSA. The sophomore forward has logged 382 minutes this season.
Duke University (2-3-0) – Jack Coleman (Sophomore Midfielder)
The Blue Devils are 2-2 in their last four matches, picking up wins over Delaware and Georgia State while dropping results to Santa Clara and Virginia. Coleman has played in all five matches for Duke this season, getting starts in the matches against Delaware and Virginia.
Florida Gulf Coast University (3-2-0) – Aaron Guillen (Freshman Defender)
Florida Gulf Coast University has won three straight matches; defeating Bucknell 2-1 in overtime, Iona 2-0 and South Carolina 3-0. Guillen has played every minute of the season so far for the Eagles.
Furman University (6-1-0) – Holly Reilly (Sophomore Goalkeeper)
The Furman Women’s soccer team made it five straight wins after beating Presbyterian 2-0, UNC Asheville 6-0 and Jacksonville 3-1. Reilly saw her first action of the season in the win over UNC Asheville when she played 19 minutes in goal off the bench.
Hardin-Simmons University (2-0-1) – Eliza Keegan (Sophomore Forward)
The Hardin-Simmons Cowgirls are undefeated three matches into the season; defeating Southwestern 6-0, drawing Trinity 1-1 and beating Wayland Baptist 4-0. Keegan has played in all three matches for HSU, scoring a goal in the season-opening win over Southwestern.
Harvard University (1-2-1) – Mark Ashby (Freshman Defender)
The Harvard Men’s soccer team has started the season 1-2-1; opening the season with a 1-1 draw against Massachusetts, losing 1-0 to Northeastern, beating Michigan State 1-0 and losing 3-2 to SMU. Ashby has started three of Harvard's four matches, missing out on the loss to Northeastern.
Iowa State University (5-3-0) – Lindsay Frank (Sophomore Defender)
The Iowa State Women’s soccer team has picked up two wins and two losses in the last two weeks; losing to Iowa 3-1, beating Northern Iowa 7-1 and DePaul 2-0 before losing to San Diego State 2-1. Frank has started every game in the Cyclone defense, logging a total of 644 minutes.
McNeese State University (4-3-1) – Tori Lasiter (Sophomore Midfielder), Haley Lyons (Sophomore Forward), Krista Steinbeiser (Sophomore Midfielder), Jordan Leinweaver (Senior Defender), Megan Rogers (Senior Midfielder)
The McNeese State Cowgirls are 3-1-1 in the last two weeks; defeating Prairie View A&M 5-0, losing to Baylor 5-0, tying Jacksonville State 1-1, and beating Jackson State 2-0 and University of Louisiana at Monroe 2-1. Lasiter didn't appear in any of those matches; Lyons scored three goals in the win over Prairie View and tallied an assist against Louisiana-Monroe; Steinbeiser also scored against Prairie View and has appeared in each of the last five matches; Leinweaver saw her only action of the year in the game against Prairie View; and Rogers has played in each of the last five matches, tallying an assist against Jacksonville State and a goal against Jackson State.
Old Dominion University (4-0-0) – Skylar Hagan (Sophomore Midfielder)
Old Dominion University has won every game this season; beating UCF 2-0, Seton Hall 6-0 and Winthrop 3-2 in the last two weeks. Hagan has started every game for the Monarchs in 2012.
Southern Methodist University (2-2-1) – Chris Figueroa (Sophomore Midfielder), Jaime Ibarra (Junior Goalkeeper)
In the last two weeks SMU has lost to USF 1-0, lost to New Mexico 3-1, beat Dartmouth 2-1, and picked up a 3-2 overtime win against Harvard. Ibarra has played every game for the Mustangs. Figueroa hasn't seen any action this season.
University of Arkansas (3-3-0) – Allie Tripp (Sophomore Defender)
The Razorbacks lost their last two matches by scores of 1-0 to Kennesaw State and Florida State, respectively. Tripp saw action in both those matches for the Arkansas defense.
University of Maryland (4-0-1) – London Woodberry (Senior Defender), Mikey Ambrose (Freshman Defender)
Maryland is undefeated on the season; tying UCLA 2-2, and beating California 6-0, Boston College 4-0 and UMBC 3-1. Woodberry and Ambrose have started every match for the Terps, and Ambrose tallied an assist in the win over UMBC.
University of New Mexico (3-1-0) – Nick Rochowski (Freshman Defender)
New Mexico is 2-1 in its last three matches; losing to Tulsa 2-1 before beating SMU 3-1 and UAB 2-0. Rochowski hasn't seen any minutes this season.
University of North Carolina (4-1-0) – Boyd Okwuonu (Sophomore Defender), Danny Garcia (Freshman Midfielder)
North Carolina won four straight matches after picking up wins over West Virginia (1-0), Boston (2-1) and Virginia Tech (2-0) before losing in an upset to James Madison (0-1). Okwuonu started has played every minute for the Tar Heels this season while Garcia started the last four and picked up assists against West Virginia and Virginia Tech.
University of North Texas (5-1-1) – Michelle Young (Senior Forward)
UNT is 1-1-1 in its last three; beating Texas Southern 6-0, tying Baylor 0-0 and losing to Long Beach State 3-2. Young has played in every game for the Mean Green, scoring against Texas Southern and adding an assist in the loss to Long Beach.
University of South Carolina (2-3-1) – Bradlee Baladez (Sophomore, Midfielder/Forward)
Since its season-opener, South Carolina lost St. John's 2-0, tied Northwestern 0-0, beat USF 1-0, lost to Florida Gulf Coast 3-0 and lost to Charlotte 3-2 in overtime. Baladez has started every game for the Gamecocks, and scored a brace in the loss to Charlotte.
