SAN JOSE - For the second time in less than a month, FC Dallas and the San Jose Earthquakes square off as the top and bottom teams in the West, respectively. This time around, Dallas is looking to take the points on the road at Avaya Stadium.
LINEUP ROTATION
Opening up a double-match week, Oscar Pareja has altered his lineup slightly from last week's draw in Houston. Maxi Urruti will slot back in to the midfield underneath Dominique Badji, who makes his fourth straight start. Pablo Aranguiz returns to the bench after a run of two starts for FCD. Jacori Hayes earns his first start since May, filling in for Carlos Gruezo who is suspended for yellow card accumulation.
Maynor Figueroa remains the starter at center back alongside Matt Hedges while Reto Ziegler recovers from a knock picked up in training last week. Roland Lamah is also back home nursing a knock of his own for the second straight match, with Tesho Akindele starting in his usual place opposite Michael Barrios.
ATTACKING OPTIONS
Dallas' bench is loaded with options for Pareja to bring on in an attacking role. Santiago Mosquera returns to the 18, with Cristian Colman and Aranguiz available up front. Paxton Pomykal is the only central midfielder option on the bench behind Hayes and Victor Ulloa, but can easily play a versatile role further up the pitch if called upon. Ryan Hollingshead has played much of the last two seasons as an outside back, but was brought on as a winger late last week in Houston.
