FRISCO — Reto Ziegler was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 20 after his performance in FC Dallas' 3-1 win over the Chicago Fire on Saturday.
Ziegler helped the FCD defense hold the Fire to just one goal, which was scored late in the game after Dallas had already led 3-0.
After Maxi Urruti was taken down in the box in the second half, Ziegler stepped up to the spot and delivered for FCD, scoring a penalty kick in the 81st minute. This is the first time Ziegler has been named to the MLS Team of the Week this season, and his penalty kick was his third goal of the 2018 campaign.
