The FC Dallas Academy was launched in 2008 as platform to promote talented youth players into professional soccer. Heralded as the top MLS Academy by many, the program continues to develop pros at a remarkable rate. An MLS leading thirty-five (35) FC Dallas academy players have been signed to Home Grown contracts since 2009.
Current FC Dallas first team players from the academy include Jesús Ferreira, Paxton Pomykal, Edwin Cerrillo, Antonio Carrera, Nolan Norris, Tarik Scott, Dante Sealy, Justin Che, Collin Smith (on loan).
In addition to a host of players having club success, fourteen (14) FC Dallas Academy players have represented the United States at the full men’s national team level including four (4) at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar (Weston McKennie, Kellyn Acosta, Shaq Moore, and Jesús Ferreira).
The FC Dallas Academy continues to set the standard for youth development within MLS and in the Americas by promoting players to the professional ranks in record numbers. Former FC Dallas Academy players are currently playing in the England’s EPL, Spain’s La Liga, Germany’s Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A, Holland’s Eredivisie, Mexico’s Liga MX, Denmark’s Superliga, and Norway’s Eliteserien.
